February Adult Programs at Spencer Public Library



February 4 @ 6:30 PM – Movie Screening at Spencer Public Library - Filmmaker, Craig Dudnik, will be screening his film “Alice’s Ordinary People” (unrated). The movie documents the journey of Alice Tregay (1929-2015), an ordinary Chicago woman who stood up to injustice in her community. Alice opposed “Willis Wagons”, marched during the Civil Rights Movement with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and worked tirelessly to create Operation Breadbasket. Walk-ins are welcome!
 
February 8 @ 6:30 PM – DIY Beauty Products at Spencer Public Library– Join us as we make a Mojito Foot Rub, a Chocolate Facial, Sugar Scrubs, and Bath Salts. Keep if for yourself or give it to someone you love! Please call 580-7290 to reserve a spot.

February 22 @ 7:00 PM – Movie Night at the Spencer Public Library – We will watch, “The Martian” starring Matt Damon. With only a meager amount of supplies, an astronaut stranded on Mars must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Free movie and snacks. February 25 @ 6:30 PM – Simply Delicious at Spencer Public Library - Passport: Taste the World. Learn to cook simple international dishes, or simply come and watch, share your enthusiasm for cooking and taste some new foods.
