Welcome to the 11th month of 2015. Take a
look at all the wonderful programs for adults happening this month at the
library.
In November the Book Into Movie Club is reading
Martin Sixsmith’s true book, “The Lost Child of Philomena Lee”. The book tells
the true story of Philomena Lee's 50-year-long search for her forcibly adopted
son, and Sixsmith's efforts to help her find him. We will be discussing and
watching the movie, “Philomena”, on December 21.
DIY Club is back with a wonderful November project–Thankful
Art. We will be using our fingerprints to paint a Fall
scene that would look great framed and hung on any wall.
The Movie of the Month is the historical drama, “Testament
of Youth”, starring Kit Harrington and Alicia Vikander. – Based on a memoir by
Vera Brittain, “Testament of Youth” follows Vera as she comes of age during the
First World War. A powerful drama, love story, and war remembrance from a
woman’s point of view.
Join us for the third of our new
series of cooking classes. Simply Delicious @ SPL presents Passport:
