December Adult Programming
Take a break from the holidays and stop by the library for
some wonderful programs and hot cocoa! That’s right; we will be offering a hot
cocoa bar during the Grand Meander. So stop by and fix yourself something warm
and sweet to drink.
DIY Club is back and we have a great project planned –
Thumbprint Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments are really adorable and all it
takes is a thumb, some paint, and a sharpie.
Our food loving director is putting on another Simply
Delicious food course for December- a Cookie Exchange. So, bring a cookie (with
the recipe) to share and a container to put your cookies in. Mandie will make
two cookies of her own for everyone to bring home.
We will be showing Maleficent starring
Angelina Jolie for our December Adult Movie. A vengeful fairy is driven to
curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person
who can restore peace to their troubled land.
In December, the Book Into Movie Club will be watching The
Heart is a Lonely Hunter starring Alan Arkin. This is a heart wrenching story
about a deaf mute man in 1930’s Georgia.
All are welcome to watch the movie (even if you didn’t read the book).
Our next Book Into Movie is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. After a harsh childhood, orphan Jane Eyre is
hired by Edward Rochester, the brooding lord of a mysterious manor house to
care for his young daughter.
Have a safe and happy Holiday Season!
