This summer has flown by and we find ourselves at
the close of another year of Summer Reading. 472 infants, toddlers, and grade school-aged
children were registered for the reading, fun and prizes! Through the various presenters
that visited, they learned about archaeology, fossils, earth worms , skunks, and other
digging animals. They also created some very unique crafts. The 2013 Summer Reading
Program was a joy for all those involved!
Now that we have wrapped things up, it is time to announce the winners of our three grand prize drawings. In order to put their names into our drawings, the kids had to read and fill out all three reading logs...that's 15 hours of reading! Many of the participants earned extra prize drawing entries by filling out bonus reading logs worth 5 extra hours each. Everyone did an awesome job!
