The Spencer Public Library offers Notary Public services free of charge. Be sure to contact us ahead of time as our notaries are often busy with meetings or programming and may not be available for a walk-in. Call 712-580-7290 to schedule time with one of our notaries.

Have these items available when you arrive to get your documents notarized:

• Your unsigned documents
• A photo ID (drivers license, passport, military, school, or work) that is current or has expired within the last three years
• A second form of ID with your name on it (debit card, Social Security card, etc) 

Please note: We are not able to provide any legal advice or help filling out your documents.

The notary service is free but if printing or faxing is needed, there is a fee:

• Photocopying and printing (each page $0.20 for black/white or $1.00 for color)
• Faxing ($2.00 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional)
• Scanning and eMailing (free of charge)
