The Spencer Public Library is pleased to offer genealogy research assistance to our community. If you're unable to visit us in person, our staff can answer simple reference questions via email (or mail if needed) for a fee of $5.00, plus 20 cents per copied page (black print only) and postage.

For instance, we can help you locate an obituary for a Spencer or Clay County, Iowa resident if you provide the exact date of death. To get started, fill out our online form or contact us directly, and we'll notify you of the total cost once we've completed your request.
