Prepare for Metamorphosis @ Your Library!

Transform yourself at your library! At the library you will find books, CDs, computers, movies, music, and friends. This summer check out our new Gaming Saturdays. Join the Summer Reading Program and be included in our annual Lock-In! The YA Summer Reading Program runs June 2-August 1. Students in grades 6-12 may register at the library anytime after the last day of school. By doing the things that you love to do anyway (like reading books, magazines, comics, and attending fun events), you earn points toward your summer reading goal of 10 books. For earning points you win prizes, and if you reach the goal - you earn a ticket to come to our Lock-In!! All participants will be eligible for prizes. Remember: Reading this summer will help you do better in school next year! Besides, it can be fun! Just ask the kids who’ve been a part of our summer activities in the past.

If you’d like to help us plan events for the summer, please join us at our next Teen Board Meeting. We will meet Wednesday, May 14th at 4:00 p.m. in the library’s Round Room. Teen Book Club meets Monday, May 5th at 4:00 and the Tween Book Club’s next meeting is May 19th at 4:00 p.m. Students in third through 6th grade are eligible for the Tween Book Club. This month is a great time to join either book club, as we will be starting new books. The Teens will be reading Blood and Chocolate and the Tweens will be starting to read Nim’s Island.

Check out a book to get you through the summer.
