You can print off the Best-Sellers Club Form
and bring it to the library or send the completed form to:

JOIN the Best Sellers Club and get your favorite books without bothering to place reserves for them. The Library will automatically place reserves for you on new adult hardcover novels by selected best selling authors. Just pick up a Best-Sellers Club Form at the library, choose your favorite 3 authors from the list, fill in your name, library card barcode, phone number, etc. Then, sit back and wait for your favorite best sellers to be reserved automatically for you. (Note: It’s a good idea to make a photocopy of the list before you turn it in, that way you won’t forget which authors you’ve selected for automatic reserves).
We know that you lead a busy life and don’t need anything more to do. Just think, you’ll never again have to worry that you haven’t even heard about the new Patricia Cornwell or John Grisham book that all your friends are talking about. It won’t matter that you forgot to call the library and reserve the latest Danielle Steel or Mary Higgins Clark novel. It will all be done for you. If, at any time, you decide to add other authors from the list to your profile or remove an author you no longer read, just ask for a change form.
This special service applies only to NEW, HARDCOVER FICTION BOOKS. If, for example, Tom Clancy writes a nonfiction history of submarine warfare, it will NOT be available through this program. You will need to reserve it in the old fashioned way. This is also true for new, original paperback publications, such as Stephen King’s Green Mile series, and for hardcover publications of previously-published paperbacks, such as Sandra Brown’s old romance paperbacks now being republished in hardcover. Only new hardcover fiction by the authors listed on the form are available for automatic reserves.
This new service will cost you just $5.00 a year-----BUT, WAIT---if you join the Friends of Spencer Public Library for an annual cost of $12.00, you get the Best-Sellers Club free and your name (or someone special to you) on a book plate as a Special Friend of any new book in an area you choose. Last, but not least, you'll receive the library's monthly newsletter S.P.L.A.S.H. delivered to your home or computer.
