Spencer ADA Task Force Spencer ADA Task ForceOne function of the ADA Task Force is to act as a resource to businesses, industries and persons with disabilities to provide information and sources of technical guidelines. Several members of the Task Force have provided assistance to businesses and organizations needing improvements to their facilities or ideas for better access and services.
The Task Force has developed a Recognition Program to recognize businesses and organizations that have made improvements or service persons with disabilities in the community. In the past, groups and businesses such as Spencer Lions Club and HyVee Food Stores have received recognition certificates from the ADA Task Force. The main function of the Task Force to meet it's mission statement is to develop and implement a program to provide continuous education and building of awareness in the community of persons with disabilities.
