Build a Better World: Summer Reading Program 2017

Don’t forget, Summer Reading Club is just around the corner, get ready to Build a Better World with us.

Summer is almost here and with it comes the Summer Reading Program!
Summer reading programs benefit both children and teens in many ways—including the encouragement of a habit of reading that can last a lifetime, giving reluctant readers activities to get them interested and excited about books, and keeping  reading skills up during the break. Summer reading programs are not just for children anymore—many libraries have adopted summer reading programs for adults as well. Literacy is important, and fostering a love of literature and the written word can have very positive effects on any age group.
Stop in and sign up for the 2017 Summer Reading Program during our special come-and-go Kickoff Party from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm on May 26th!
While you’re here, feel free to decorate a cookie! Can’t make it? Don’t worry! We also allow registrations at any time after, both in the library and online!
Spencer Public Library’s Summer Reading Programs are open to all ages and include prize incentives and drawings at varying levels. So whether you’re a parent, a child, a teen, or an adult who loves to read, join us for the 2017 Summer Reading Program!
